My knit has pulls or loose threads, help!
Pulls
To help fix a pull, you (or someone else if you're not confident with a needle) can try using the following method to help remedy the issue:
- Slightly stretch the knit open with your hand, creating space between the weave.
- With your other hand, using a needle, gently push the loop/thread from the front to the inner side of the knit.
- Once the yarn comes to the back you can either knot it if it's long enough, or if it's short you can leave it loose but on the inside of the sweater, but please don't cut it!
Loose Threads
To help fix a loose thread or two, you (or someone else if you're not confident with a needle) can try using the following method to help remedy the issue:
- Slightly stretch the knit open with your hand, creating space in the weave.
- With your other hand, using a needle, gently push both threads from the front to the inner side of the knit.
- GENTLY pull the threads through to gain some more length on the threads.
- Now the yarn is teased to the back of the knit, secure them by knotting them together.
There are a couple of great Youtube video here on how to fix pulls and loose threads:
