Moths have eaten my beloved knit, help!
Moths
Moths can be tricky to keep away from your knits, but hopefully these tips can help.
Moths tend to like any protein residue found on clothing. So when the time comes to store your knit for a while, we recommend giving it a wash first, then tucking it away in the bag your knit arrived in.
If you notice moths in your house and around your clothes a great way to stop any spread and damage to your knit, place your knit in a bag and pop it in the freezer for 24 hours to get rid of any moth eggs.
You can also use cedar balls to keep away the moths by placing the cedar balls in your drawers or make your own moth control bag by using little muslin bags and filling them with cedar chips and lavender.
Essential oils such as cedar, hinoki, lavender oils can be soaked into a piece of wood and will help keep the moths away - depending on your fragrance preference/tolerance.
Our Care Guarantee covers a lot of bases in case anything needs putting right again with your sweater, and yes, you're covered for any moth damage!
Storage
We recommend storing your knits folded in a protective bag, just like the one delivered with your item.
This will help keep the shape of the item and keep moths away.
