The Metamelt Collection is the next evolutionary step in building a Sheep Inc. World.
The Metamelt Collection is a limited run series of designs by Alexander Lewis. Each piece is crafted using cutting-edge, 3D solar-powered knitting and presented in a meticulously designed 3D world. 3D meets 3D.
The 6 strong set of designs for the Metamelt collection are made using Japanese Wholegarment® 3D knitting technology, using carbon-negative New Zealand Merino wool and designed in blocks of harmonious, Bluesign® approved, dye colours.
To showcase the designs we have created a digitally rendered 3D ecosystem that foreshadows our future. An ecosystem where water scarcity hinders life. Where a lack of vegetation cracks the soil. Where only the most adaptable of species can thrive.
It is a world that embodies a physical juxtaposition with the regenerative nature of our knitwear. A vision of a world we lacked care for, whilst as the same time suggesting a vision for the solution.
To craft our knitwear we source the highest quality Merino Wool exclusively from carefully selected New Zealand Sheep Stations that are at the forefront of the regenerative farming movement. Using innovative land management, feeding and grazing techniques to capture more CO2e from the atmosphere than their operations emit. Making their properties and the wool they produce, naturally carbon-negative.
Using the next evolution in material science, we apply a pioneering, performance-increasing treatment to our carbon-negative yarn that is Bluesign© and Oekotex® certified, meaning no chlorine or harmful chemicals are used.
Each piece is then crafted using 100% solar powered, 3D Wholegarment® knitting machines at a knitter in Portugal, to ensure a clean, zero-waste manufacturing process.
The regenerative impact of the Metamelt Collection does not end with its manufacturing. 3% of revenue from all sales is invested into biodiversity projects on the New Zealand Sheep Stations providing the wool, to ensure further positive planetary impact.
The Metamelt Collection is a perfectly balanced chromatic ecosystem that lives and is shot in a digital world. But is for the real world.

Grace, can you introduce youself to the Flock?
Hey! I'm Grace Mahary, fashion model, sommelier, and founder of non-profit Project Tsehigh/PjT.
How did PjT start?
On a trip visiting family in Eritrea, I experienced power shortages and encountered heavy duty pollutants from the diesel generators being used for electricity; thus, I decided to create PjT, a nonprofit dedicated to providing renewable energy solutions to under-served communitites.
What project do you currently focus on?
PjT currently focuses on solar energy projects around the world. We just completed facilitating solar powered street lamps for basketball courts in Burkina Faso and Nigeria.
