Our sweaters are designed and crafted to last —with a little bit of care, your sweater should remain a permanent part of your wardrobe for many, many years to come. That’s not only good for you and us but also for the environment – by wearing our garments as long as possible, we reduce the need to buy new clothes and thereby reduce our carbon footprint. With the added benefit that Merino wool is nature’s super fibre and has self-cleaning properties, so it doesn’t need to be washed very often, reducing the footprint further.
In order to give you extra comfort, each sweater is covered under a for-life guarantee for damages from normal wear and tear, faulty material or poor workmanship. Should your sweater ever need mending or maintenance you can send it back to us and we will restore it to the best of our abilities. For life.
If you feel your sweater needs a repair or maintenance, please fill out the following For-Life Form here and send the form together with pictures of the item to our customer service team to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that you must be the original purchaser of the product with a valid proof of purchase (order number and date).
We will review your request and send you a response within 5 business days. Upon approval, you will receive a Return Authorisation Number (RA Number) which you will need to enter in the For-Life Form in order to complete your request. Please wrap your clean sweater up nice and warm in a box along with the completed for-life form (including the RA Number provided) and post the package to the following address:
Sheep Included Ltd.
Attn: For-life Guarantee
3 Leverton Place
London NW5 2PL
Please note that we can’t accept sweaters sent without a RA Number or sweaters that are stained or different from the description provided in the For-Life Form. In this case, we reserve the right to send back the item and will not be responsible for return shipping.
Once your sweater is received, please allow up to 4 weeks for your request to be completed. Our team will then send the sweater back to the return address provided.
Customers are responsible for shipping products to us and insuring them if desired but you can use any carrier you would like. Please ensure you use a carrier that provides a tracking number since this will be used to confirm delivery. Sheep Inc. is not responsible for items that are lost or damaged during shipping and cannot replace parcels lost during return shipment if proof of tracking is unavailable.
We will take care of the return shipping charges using regular mail.
Sheep Inc. reserves the right to determine if an item qualifies for a repair or replacement under the for-life guarantee programme.
The for-life guarantee covers damages from normal wear and tear, faulty materials or poor workmanship. Most common examples include holes from use over extended time, snagged threads or even excessive pilling. If any of this happens to your sweater, our team will restore it to the best of our abilities.
Holes: The most common way to repair a hole is darning – a process where we cover up the hole by knitting new yarn over it in a criss-cross pattern. You can choose whether you would like to use the same colour of the yarn or whether you would like to add some personality to your sweater by using a different colour.
Snagged threads: The simplest solution to solve a snagged thread is to invert the snagged thread so that it’s pointing inside and only looks slightly puckered from the outside. To do this, we use a needle or crochet hook that the thread can fit into. Please never cut the thread as this will leave you with a hole.
Excessive pilling: If you feel the sweater pills and the provided de-pilling comb does not help, we can give it a full maintenance using an electric fabric shaver. These are very effective at removing pills, giving your clothing an as-new appearance again – so a useful staple in any household with high-quality clothing.
One final note: in case you would like to do put in some love yourself at home to repair any damages, our team is more than happy to provide detailed step-by-step repair instructions. Please feel free to reach out to email@example.com.
The for-life guarantee does not cover damages caused by accident, improper care, misuse, negligence, burns or animal attacks (wolf or otherwise). This includes shrinking, stretching, mould, moth holes, stains, rips, cuts or tears. Should you encounter any of these issues, please feel free to get in touch with our customer service team (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we will try to help where we can.
Should you feel the sweater is beyond repair, please don’t hesitate to reach out to email@example.com and send the sweater back to us. We will make sure to find it another home, recycle it, or find the most environmentally friendly way to dispose of it.
One word on pilling wool.
Pilling happens to the most high-quality fabrics and is usually sign of a well-worn and well-loved sweater.
The good news is that with a little care, pilling is entirely preventable and reversible. Simply run the supplied sweater comb gently and carefully over areas where you notice pilling every few times before or after wearing. Another good investment are small electric pill removal devices known as either de-pillers or fabric shavers. They are affordable, rechargeable, and work like a charm.
Merino wool can look after itself. It’s spent a good few evolutionary cycles learning how. This means your sweater will resist stains, wrinkles and odours. From time to time it may need to take a breather for an hour or so. Hang it up outside. Or lay it down flat on your bed. If the day comes when your sweater needs a wash, we recommend washing it by hand to best maintain its form and feel. We also include a sweater comb to give it the occasional groom. To get that new again feeling.
